Lasse Schmidt Hansen (1978, Denmark) studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and now lives and works in Berlin. In his minimalist works, Lasse Schmidt Hansen explores the bureaucracy of standardized systems and the relativity of accepted and supposedly non-circumventable specifications and conventions. Schmidt Hansen has exhibited at Heidelberger Kunstverein; Galerie Reinhard Hauff, Stuttgart; Daimler Contemporary, Berlin; Ritter & Staiff, Frankfurt am Main; Sammlung Majerus, Kunstsaele, Berlin in Germany and Henningsen Contemporary, Copenhagen and Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York.
